Serial Abortions for Hubby Ruined my Womb- wife tells court

A Hotel manager Oluwafemi Ajadi has filed in Agege court to end his 16 year marriage to wife Chinwe, 35, over infedility.

However, according to The Nation, Chinwe, in tears, urged the court not to grant the petitioner’s application on the grounds that she had aborted several pregnancies for him before their union was legalised.

Oluwafemi who’s hometown is Ibadan in Oyo State, said he is no longer interested in the Marriage and that his wife was arrogant and a trouble maker. “My wife is a party freak; I warned her to desist from moving around with bad friends but she did not heed my warning. “ She also likes frolicking with different men.

Chinwe, however, has denied all allegations, and pleads with judges to save her marriage. She described her husband as a drunk and wife beater. She insists her husband abuses hey physically and mentally because she cannot conceive

“My husband usually drinks to stupor and misbehaves and this usually leads to serious misunderstandings between us. ” l have aborted on several occasions for him before legalising the marriage and have wasted the better part of my life.

“In spite of all this l still love him and do not want the marriage dissolved,” she said.

“I wasted several millions of naira on the respondent through Invitro fertilization (IVF) but lost the pregnancy due to her stubbornness and nonchalant attitude,’’ he countered said.

The court has adjourned till Dec. 14. Due to The President, Mrs Ibironke Elabor, hope that the marriage can still be kept amicable.
