An 18 year old teenager, Omolayo Afolabi has died from side effects of medication she was given to terminate her pregnancy.
The incident occurred in the Iju/Itaogbolu area of Ondo State after the victim was two months pregnant for her boyfriend, Joseph Endurance.
The victim’s friend introduced her to a nurse who gave her some medication to take to get rid of the baby.
The medication after being taken by the victim, set up a chemical chain of effects that led to severe pain and then death.
Police have arrested the nurse, Favour Adebiyi and the boyfriend.
