Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has revealed that he will not support Senator Ifeanyi Araraume if he declares his ambition to govern the state in 2019 because he lacks some attributes of a governor.

Governor Okorocha who disclosed this yesterday during a media chat with journalists at the Government House, Owerri cited temperament, patience, fear of God and inappropriate vision for the state as some of the criteria he wished for as a successor but lacked by the former Guber candidate.

According to Governor Okorocha, “I will not support Araraume for governor. I have told him that I don’t have the power to decide because the people will decide but to be a governor, he needs vision, temperament, patience and the fear of God which he does not have.

“I have not seen any that has it. To be a good leader you must be patient to receive the kind of abuses I receive. Imo needs a good leader with vision to continue where I stopped” Governor Okorocha said.

He also used the opportunity to announce the visit of South Africa’s president, Jacob Zuma to the state on Friday.

Zuma, according to Okorocha, is in the state to sign on behalf of his Foundation, the Zuma Foundation an MoU alongside the Rochas Foundation to facilitate Free and good quality education for African children.

Besides being conferred with a chieftaincy title, Zuma would also receive an award of Grand Chancellor of the State, Okorocha informed.

Meanwhile, Governor Okorocha has announced plans by the South African airline to take over the Imo International airline, a move he noted would boost the economy of the state.
