Paul Pogba’s injury is now ‘long-term’- Man United boss Jose Mourinho

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has described French midfielder, Paul Pogba’s injury as “long-term” and hence will be facing a longer time on the sidelines than expected.

Pogba, 24, suffered a hamstring injuring in the 3-0 Champion’s league win against Basel on September 12.

The decision to opt for surgical therapy is yet to be made.

Speaking at a news conference ahead of United’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace on Saturday, Mourinho said: “He’s injured, he cannot play tomorrow and it’s not an injury that I can have the hope like I have with [Antonio] Valencia or [Phil] Jones.

“I have the hope to see them in training and to have a positive answer, so long-term injuries I don’t speak about them.

“So Ibra [Zlatan Ibrahimovic] and Pogba and [Marcos] Rojo, these players I don’t think about them.”
