1 Min Read

Nigerian Singer and songwriter, Mr Eazi has put himself in the spotlight once again after stating that he paved a way for African artistes in London.

In an interview with MTV base Africa, the singer claimed he had made remarkable impacts in the UK and other artistes are only following his footsteps.

MTVBase Africa wrote on their Instagram page;

We interviewed @mreazi ahead of his Life is Eazi Culture Festival in London today.

Eazi said “I feel like ever since I came and did quite a lot in London, a lot of African artists have started coming to London.”

“It’s like London is the Afrobeat 101.”

“So I just feel like anyone can come and do a concert and it’s shown I’m happy that a lot of artists have been able to perform at concerts but I personally feel like Afrobeats is what is is right now, it’s a wave”

The Nigerian singer was recently involved in a war of words with Nigerian music fans on social media after he said that Nigerian musicians copy his style of music.
