The Nigerian Police has declared Senator Isah Hamma Misau wanted for being a deserter.
The latest development comes after the Senator accused the Inspector General Of Police, Ibrahim Idris, of corruption.
According to reports, the Senator has been declared wanted on criminal grounds and possible forgery of a retirement letter.
Recall that the Senator has slammed financial allegations against the IGP accusing him of diverting the sum of N10 billion in income made by the Police. However, in a rare twist, the Senator has been implicated in another scandal following the Police’s reaction to the allegation leveled against the IGP.
The Nigerian Police had in reaction to the allegation slammed on the IGP stated that the Senator lied adding that Senator Isah Mamman Misau deserted his post in Niger state seven years ago as a Deputy Superintendent.
The Nigerian Police further stated that the Senator still exists on the list of staff of the Nigeria Police Force List as AP. No 57300 DSP Mohammed Isa Hamman.
The Police while accusing him of deserting his duty post stated that his last posting was to Niger State Police Command on the 24 September, 2010 adding that the retirement letter which was displayed by the Senator to journalists might be fake.
