‘Don’t have a cow’ – Pastor Bakare rejects Aso Rock largesse

General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare has rejected a cow sent to him by President Goodluck Jonathan, according to information from Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

The information was posted to the former Minister’s twitter account, see below:

Pastor Bakare allegedly responded, “Is it cow we need in Nigeria?”

Meanwhile the Presidency has come under fire from Civil Society Organizations and Nigerians in general over wasteful spending in the 2014 budget.

The budget earmarks billions of Naira for a new Presidental Jet. N80 million is to be expended on stationery for the office of the Vice President whilst over N2 billion is being spent on the Vice President’s residence.
