Med-View Airline on Tuesday pledged to complete the airlift of over 3,200 intending pilgrims for the 2017 Hajj operation from Kaduna State on Saturday, Aug 5.

The Managing Director of the airline, Muneer Bankole, made the promise when the airline began the airlift of intending pilgrims from the state at the Kaduna International Airport.

NAN reports that the Airline had made its first flight with no fewer than 460 intending pilgrims from the Airport to Saudi Arabia.

Bankole said the airline would use three airraft at the Kaduna International Airport for the exercise and would conclude on Friday or Saturday, Aug. 5.

“We have three big aeroplanes: Boeing 707, Boeing 777 and Boeing 767.

“We are dedicated to this noble cause and God’s willing, we intend to round off either on Friday or Saturday.

“As a tradition of the airline, we will not compromise on the provision of comfort to the pilgrims,’’ the Managing Director said,

Addressing the pilgrims shortly before their departure to the holy land, Gov. Nasiru El-Rufai, charged the pilgrims to respect the Saudi Arabian laws to avoid embarrassment.

El-Rufai, who, was represented by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Aminu Shagali, recalled that the state had the best operation during the 2016 Hajj.

He urged the pilgrims and the officials of the State Pilgrims Board to ensure that they improved on the achievement.

He charged the pilgrims to pray for the speedy recovery of President Muhammad Buhari and to end the persistent crisis in Southern part of the state. (NAN)
