The Zone 2 Police Command in Onikan, Lagos State, on Saturday, said it arrested a man (name withheld) for allegedly selling and being in possession of human parts.
The command’s Spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmus, confirmed the arrest to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
Badmus said the arrest was made possible through zonal intervention unit after the command received an information that the suspect, “an ex convict” deals in sale of human parts.
“Upon receiving tip off, operatives trailed the suspect to Obada Oko in Ogun, where he was arrested at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
“The suspect confessed to be a dealer of human parts, while investigation revealed that he had been to prison twice over the same offence,” Badmus said.
The zonal image maker said that the AIG in charge of the zone, Mr Adamu Ibrahim, had directed that the suspect be thoroughly investigated and be charged to court. (NAN)
