Video: “They Will Be Our Slaves,” Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau Threatens

2 Min Read

The deadly terrorist group, Boko Haram’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, has in a new video released claimed responsibility for the recent attack on a joint police/military convoy near Maiduguri.

Recall that the Islamist-Jihadist sect attacked the joint police/military convoy near Maiduguri on June 20, an attack which led to the death of several persons.

Also recall that the terrorists attacked a joint army/police patrol escorting relief materials and a burial party at Abari-Dalwa village on the Maiduguri/Damboa road last Tuesday followed by another attack on a police lorry transporting the body of a female police sergeant, Rahila Antikiriya, a former member of the State Investigative Bureau, SIB, in charge of mines and explosives.

The sect also killed one Sergeant Bala Tiishe, an SIB officer who was shot and killed with his service rifle taken away by the attackers.

In the recent video released on journalist Ahmad Salkida’s website which spanned 17 minutes and 25 seconds, the terror group leader, Shekau, spokes for about 10 minutes with the group showing off several female officers in its captivity.

Shekau in his speech said: “I want to tell you that we are the one that attacked the convoy, here are the vehicles for all to witness, we are the ones that abducted the female police officers, in fact, they are senior female police officers.

“What we did is nothing when compared to our women, children, and friends that have been wiped out or arrested for many years by the Nigerian government. We only abducted them to serve as slaves to us.
