That Was Not Buhari’s Voice – Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigerians React To Buhari’s Voice Note

Nigerians on social media have reacted to the voice note of the president, Muhammadu Buhari released by the presidency to congratulate Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of Ramadan fasting month’s end.

The voice note which was released by the presidency as part of its move to debunk several rumors about the president’s health status as recent report held that he had lost his ability to speak has been met with stiff opposition from the public especially as the president communicated in Hausa language.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo had earlier described the move as plunging Nigeria into a lower level than it was as it accused Buhari of turning Nigeria into a ‘Banana republic’. The group further questioned the authenticity of the voice note and in corroboration, a former Minister of Aviation in the country, Femi Fani Kayode and some other Nigerians have accused the presidency of misguiding citizens.

Nigerians took to their social media page to tear apart the voice note which was purported to be the voice of the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari felicitating with Nigerians on the occasion of Eid-el Fitr.
