Buhari’s Condition Worsens – Report

2 Min Read

Following the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari’s exit from the country on May 7 for the United Kingdom, there has been several speculations regarding the health status of the president whom the Information Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and the First Lady, Aisha Buhari have reported to be recuperating well.

However, contrary to the reports on his health progress, a new report released by Sahara Reporters has alleged that the Nigerian President is far from recuperating as his health condition has worsened since he left Nigeria 45 days ago.

The news source reports that the president who left the country for UK over an undisclosed medical condition which has been speculated to be cancer has developed speech difficulties adding that Buhari is also suffering from memory lapse.

The latest report comes on the heels of a report which held that the First Lady was denied access to the president during her visit to UK adding that the Buhari-led administration has been hijacked by cabals who have been managing the president’s health behind closed doors.

Further report holds that several of the president’s aides have been denied access to the president while others who sought to meet with the president have been directed to return to the country and meet with the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo instead.

News source further added that before the president left the country on May 7, “he shocked his aides when he asked if they were going to Sokoto, perhaps one of the first signs of his deteriorating memory.”

It further noted that the President according to sources within the presidency has not spoken to the Acting President, Yemi Osinajo since he left the country. News source further added that sources within the British Embassy revealed that “they don’t think Buhari could continue to govern in the condition he is in London”.
