Daniel Samuel, a 45 year old pastor of Apostolic Church, and resident of Owode-Egba in Ibafemi Owode local government area of Ogun State has been arrested for assaulting his wife with a machete over her refusal to attend church services.
Samuel allowed his anger to get the best of him, when his wife informed him that she would not be attending church services as she intended to do some work.
Daniel threw caution to the wind and forgot the advice of the Proverbs which state that, “through anger is a city destroyed”. He picked up a machete and inflicted deep cuts on his wife.
After the attack, the Pastor broke another commandment when he lied to neighbours that his wife was attacked by unknown men.
He is currently cooling his heels in a police station in Ogun state.
