Following the blast which struck the Manchester Arena where pop singer Ariana Grande was performing at about 10:35pm UK time on Monday, May 22, 2017, a total of 19 persons have been reported dead.
The blast which is suspected to be a terror attack according to report also left a total of 50 persons injured.
In reaction to the blast which has cast a gloomy weather over Manchester, the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has confirmed the blast in a statement issued.
Theresa May who noted that the police are treating the incident as a terror attack noted: “we are working to establish the full details of what is being treated by the police as an appalling terrorist attack. All our thoughts are with the victims and the families of those who have been affected.”
Also offering his support, the leader of Britain’s Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn took to his Twitter page to write: “Terrible incident in Manchester. My thoughts are with all those affected and our brilliant emergency services.”
