When Governor Adams Oshiomole was caught on tape being harsh to a widow who was flouting Edo laws in order to feed her family, little did anyone know it would change the life of that widow forever.
After the outrage and shaming of the Governor’s actions began to trend on social media, several political and humanitarian groups began to reach out to the widow, seeking to find her and compensate her for the emotional and economic sufferings she obviously had just been through. In short, everybody on twitter was taking panadol for the woman’s headache.
The Edo State PDP offered her #250,000 and another popular internet activist began attempts to raise a fund for the woman.
However, the Governor of Edo located her first and reportedly offered her #2 million, and even took the time to arrange a great photo opportunity with her, sipping coffee and sharing more cheerful banter than the “Go and Die” of old.
