The Fleet Commander of Western Naval Command, WNC, Rear Admiral Daniel Ikoli, was reported to have been found dead in his home at Apapa, Lagos yesterday.
The Naval officer was alleged to have shot himself dead which sparked suspicions of yet another suicide case while others suspected the Naval officer was assassinated.
However, close associates of the Naval officer disclosed that the naval officer was depressed leading to his death.
Associates noted that his depression stemmed from his inability to pay his children’s school fees.
The naval officer’s remains has since been deposited at a mortuary.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
