A former Aviation Minister in the country, Femi Fani-Kayode has slammed the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, Hameed Ali over his conduct in response to invitations by the Nigerian senate.
Recall that the Nigerian Senate had invited the customs boss to appear before it in his uniform to explain some new developments including the request for car owners to show up at the customs office for payment of unpaid import taxes on their vehicles.
Hameed Ali who has never been seen wearing his customs uniform sinc 2015 when he was appointed into office in reply during an interview noted that he was elected into office to work and not to wear uniform.
Following the reply, the customs boss appeared before the Senate on mufti which led to the senate’s decision to send him back adding that he should appear at a later date in his uniform.
In reaction to the drama between the Nigerian senate and the Customs CG, Femi Fani Kayode took to his social media page on Twitter to slam Hameed Ali calling him an arrogant, stubborn and ugly little monkey.
The former aviation minister further urged the Nigerian senate to compel the Customs CG to appear before them stark naked if he can’t show up in his uniform.
Hameed Ali was directed by the Nigerian Senate to reappear before it on Wednesday March 22nd.
