Kaduna Central’s representative in the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani’s aide has reportedly been attacked by Fulani herdsmen.
The attack on the Senator’s personal aide was reportedly carried out along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
The Senator and Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Mounting Humanitarian Crisis in the North disclosed the attack on his personal aide yesterday during a plenary session while contributing to a motion moved for the need to reconstruct and dualise the Markurdi-9th Mile Trunk “A” Federal Highway.
While speaking in support of the motion moved by Senator Chukwuka Utazi representing Enugu North in the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani said: “With all the security on that road, my own personal aide was attacked by herdsmen on that road.”
Senator Shehu Sani however failed to provide further details of the attack on his aide.
He further noted that the Federal Government should prioritize construction and rehabilitation of road linking different states.
