Tin-Can Island Port 2 Customs Command, Ijora, says it has generated N919.6 million in February.
Mr Godwin Andishu, the Command`s Public Relations Officer, gave the figure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos.
Andishu said that the figure was N85 million higher than the N835 million generated by the command in January and N360 million better than the N559.7 million December revenue.
The command`s spokesman said that the increase resulted from the various reforms and measures put in place by the Controller, Alhaji Abdulkadir Dalhatu, to improve the command`s revenue profile.
Andishu listed such measures to include blockage of revenue loopholes, training and retraining of officers and deepening of co-operation with stakeholders.
He said that though activities at the ports were currently at low ebb, the command would continue to do its best to record consistent rise in revenue generation.
The command had announced N8.12 billion as its total revenue for 2016. (NAN)
