He made this pledge during a town hall meeting to discuss the 2014 budget at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

“I want to assure you that all your contributions and suggestions shall be taken into consideration in the preparation of the budget. It is the dream of this administration to restore this state to its natural and enviable position as primus inter pares among states in Nigeria. All our actions and efforts in the past 29 months have been channeled towards the realization of this great vision.

“Without being immodest, I want to state that we have been able to demonstrate that our Mission to Rebuild is not just another government propaganda, but an elaborate master plan to bring about socio-economic progress in our state. We are passionate about our programmes and we shall remain undaunted in their implementation,” Amosun pledged.

The Governor who spoke all the major languages in the state promised that the challenged with Federal allocations would not impact the distribution of democracy dividends to the people.

“Even in the face of serious challenges, occasioned by dwindling resources from the Federation Account, we remain resolutely committed to the successful implementation of our five-point agenda.

“We have no iota of doubt that we are on course; we shall surely deliver on our promises.”

According to him, “we are poised to further consolidate on these in the 2014 Financial Year. We shall remain focused on our targets and unwavering in our mission to make a positive impact in the lives of our people. Let me assure you that this administration will not leave any of the on-going projects uncompleted,” Amosun said.

In attendance at the meeting were all the governor’s cabinet members led by the Deputy Governor, Prince Segun Adesegun; Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Suraju Ishola Adekunmbi; Head of Service, Mrs Modupe Adekunle, all the 20 local government council chairmen in the state, party stalwarts and party members from all the 236 wards in the state.
