The Wedding Party, directed by Kemi Adetiba has been highly successful. As at the time of this post, the movie has grossed over N450m, it is sure to win awards when award season for Nigerian movies hits, it has by almost every standard matched the definition of success.
But has it been tribalistic?
A Twitter user @Belshagy seems to think so, taking to his twitter to say that the North was left out of the movie and were not properly represented.
Naturally with such a statement, people came with their observations, some with the opinion that such an arguement was needless as it didn’t have any Northern elements, some believing that this was indeed true.
