An official of Kano State Government who spoke to journalists on the condition of anonymity has said the government was studying the revocation of the residential plot in Maitama belonging to Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The official said, “As we speak, my governor is outside the country and no notification has been given to him or any official of the Kano State Government on why it became imperative for the FCT to revoke the plot duly allocated to the governor.
“We are seriously disturbed by the way the FCT minister is politicising the issue of land allocation and revocation just to be seen as being supportive of his paymasters.
“What we are seeing is nothing more than what el-Rufai calls kindergarten administration and it is becoming clear to all that the action is politically motivated and not driven by any altruistic motive.
“We challenge the FCT administration to publish what the governor has done to warrant the revocation of his plot if the motive is not politically induced.”
The FCT administration had alleged that Governor Kwankwaso turned a green area extension on his property which had approval for a garden into another building development in flagrant disregard of the regulation.
