FRSC charges promoted officers on high level of discipline, diligence

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Thursday charged newly promoted officers to continue displaying a high level of discipline in accordance with the laws establishing it.

Mr Kehinde Adeleye, the Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO) of the Corps’ Rs in Benin, gave the charge shortly before decorating the officers with their new ranks.

Adeleye said that the reward for hard work; was more work.

He admonished them not to get carried away by their new ranks but to remain committed, dedicated and display diligence in the discharge of their jobs.

He said that the officers alongside some of their other colleagues had participated in a promotion exercise which included written and oral interviews as well as physical exercises.

Adeleye noted that while some of their colleagues could not pass the examination, the promoted officers should remain grateful to God for the elevation.
“ So, today’s event is a formal celebration to decorate and rejoice with you on your successful promotion”, he said.

The ZCO, who noted that while the promotion might lead to redeployment, reposting and transfer of the officers, however, urged them to remain shining examples of the zone.

He assured them to of the zone’s necessary support whenever the need arises.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that six of the promoted officers are from the Edo Command of the in the Zone which comprises of Edo, Delta and Anambra.

While two of the officers were promoted from the rank of Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC) to Deputy Corps Commanders, four others were promoted from the rank of Corps Route Commanders (CRC) to ACC. (NAN)
