Plateau State Police Command has reported the arrest of a middle-aged man named Polycarp Dajan who allegedly murdered his three-month-old son for rituals in Jos.
The State Commissioner, Chris Olakpe also revealed that the Command nabbed a man who clubbed his bedwetting daughter to death in Bokkos, Mangu Local Government Area of the state.
“On September 8, at about 1 p.m., a case of culpable homicide was reported at Bokkos Police Station where Polycarp Dajan, aged 20 was said to have suffocated his three months old baby boy to death”, Olakpe stated.
Dajan allegedly killed his son for ritual purposes.
He told newsmen that he was lured into the dastardly act saying by a native doctor who assured him of quick money.
He was said to have supplied only the tongue of his first child.
The command also disclosed that a group led by a woman that snatched a Keke NAPEP was captured.
This was after the group which disguised as passengers had inflicted injuries on the rider.
Olakpe paraded the suspects at the state Police Command headquarters added that said his officers also arrested 15 other persons alongside for various criminal offences.
He assured that the command will not allow criminals in the state a breathing space to commit hideous crimes.
