The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has made a withdrawal of N5 million from his previously frozen bank account.
Recall that the Ekiti State Governor’s account had earlier been frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) over implications connecting him to the slush fund from the office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, during the Sambo Dasuki regime.
However, the Federal High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday ordered that the ban on withdrawals placed on the Zenith Bank account by the EFCC be lifted.
Fayose on Thursday made the withdrawal from the account at the Ado-Ekiti branch of the bank.
Fayose further thanked Nigerians for the support offered during his trying times in the hand of the anti-graft agency.
