South West PDP Makes Moves to Unite Reconcile warring Parties

2 Min Read

Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in the SouthWest have commenced moves to pacify aggrieved members and reconcile warring factions in the region. This is to foster unity in the party so that it will be well poised to face the 2019 elections.

Media reports indicate that some leaders of the party have embarked on a tour of the region to placate aggrieved members.

This development was made known by the National Vice Chairman, South West, of the party, Dr Eddy Olafeso  yesterday in Lagos, when he and other executives in the zone, paid a courtesy visit on PDP’s former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George.

Eddy Olafeso was joined by other party chieftain, including Chief Philip Aigboje, Mrs Shobanjo, Otunba Williams and Rev. Bunmi Jenyo.

Olafeso said that the purpose of the visit was to resolve the acrimony among aggrieved members of the party in the South West.

According to him;

‘’To commence the healing process of the party, the leadership  will embark on a tour of states and meet with warring factions in the party.

The purpose of our visit is to intimate Chief Bode George on our agenda for the South West and on issues pertaining to the region. In his remarks, Chief George commended the leadership of the party in the south west appealing on members of the party to mend fences.”
