Former Chelsea star winger and Ivorian International, Salomon Kalou has revealed that he is not surprised that Victor Moses is doing well at Chelsea.
According to Kalou, 31, Moses is showing his best due to greater backing than he has had before.
Moses was signed as Kalou’s replacement in 2012. However, after an unsuccessful start, he was loaned out, given him stints at various clubs including Liverpool.
Victor Moses is back in Stamford Bridge as part of Antonio Conte’s team and he is in incredible form. After netting the winner over Tottenham last weekend, Chelsea quickly started talks with him to extend his contract as rumours of Barcelona’s interest in him pervades Stamford Bridge.
While talking to Goal.com, Salomon Kalou made some comments on the Nigerian star.
“I’m not surprised by Moses’s form. He never had a big chance like this before. He never really had this chance to show off. A big player has to have the chance to play.”
“It is difficult to show your skills when you don’t play, and this season he has shown the quality that you need at this level; I am not surprised. He is a fast and technical player with great stamina to go forward and then to come back.”
“Chelsea have supported him very well [this season] and that is why I am not surprised that we are seeing the best of him. He will have a great season in a blue shirt.”
