Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith have put their dream family home on the market for $42 million, after spending just two years in the mansion. They also plan to sell their 25,000 square foot house near Calabasas, which took seven years to build and they are believed to have sold their holiday home in Hawaii.
Their sudden desire to offload lucrative assets has once again raised questions on the health of their marriage.
The couple only moved into the house back in 2011 after it took it reportedly took seven years to build.
In a feature in Architectural Digest done in 2011, Will described the idea behind the house’s circular floor plan was ‘to create an infinite cycle that represented what Jada and I hoped for our love’.
In recent times, the power couple have been forced to answer questions about their marriage when it was reported that Jada had an affair with co-star and Jennifer Lopez’s ex Marc Anthony.
This story, which broke out in 2011, was categorically denied by the couple and Will insisted that his marriage was very much intact.
The dust had hardly settled when Jada had to explain comments she made suggesting that the couple were in an open relationship. The mother of two initially referred to the ‘bad boys’ star as ‘his own man’ and ‘can do whatever’ he wants but she later reviewed her statement by releasing the following on Facebook:
‘Here is how I will change my statement…Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so.
‘This does NOT mean we have an open relationship…this means we have a GROWN one.’
The couple were last seen with their children Jaden and Willow on August 26th.
