A long truck belonging to the CocaCola company crushed a young man to death in Nsukka, Enugu state on Monday.
According to reports, the young man, identified as Chidi, was riding on a motorcycle when he was crushed.
The youths at the scene of the tragic incident were enraged and immediately set the truck, which was loaded with cocacola drinks, ablaze.
They also prevented firemen from stopping or controling the fire by stoning them.
As at the time of this report, the deceased had been deposited at a morgue in Nsukka, while the driver of the truck narrowly escaped being lynched by the irate mob.
A combined team of the military and mobile policemen were dispatched to the scene to calm the people.
The fire setvice men, in company of heavy armed policemen, were able to control the fire.
