Barely a full after 21 Chibok girls were released from Boko Haram captivity, another Chibok girl has been found by Army officers attached to the Lafiya Dole Operation in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State.
In a statement signed by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the officers discovered the identity of the girl during screening of escapees from Boko Haram hideouts in Sambisa forest.
The name of the girl was given as Maryam Ali Maiyanga, and she was discovered with her 10-month-old son, named Ali.
The statement reports that “she has been taken to the unit’s medical facility for proper medical check up.”
