The Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike has described presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries , Pastor David Ibiyeomie as a blessing to this generation .
The governor made the remarks during the celebration of the 54h birthday of Ibiyeomie at the Salvation Ministries headquarters in Port Harcourt.
Wike lauded the cleric for his positive contributions to the development of the country.
The governor said the state had been privileged to have the pastor whom he said was a strong spiritual pillar, noting that his prayers had helped to stabilise the state .
Wike said that celebrating the cleric was the right thing to do, so that younger persons would be encouraged to live worthy lives.
He said: “I believe in celebrating achievers while they are still alive. Pastor David Ibiyeomie has lived a life worthy of celebration. In spite of the fact that we give him nothing , he has always continued to intercede for us.
“At the time we were having challenges, he interceded for us. Today, the state is enjoying relative peace because of his prayers and spiritual support”.
He said IIbiyeomie had lived a life of legacies , touching humanity in several ways .
In his remarks , the celebrant , Pastor David Ibiyeomie thanked Wike for honouring him. (NAN)
