Mr Tein Jack-Rich, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), BelemaOil Producing Ltd, has called on African leaders and youths to eliminate imaginary boundaries among them to fast-track growth and development of the continent.
Jack-Rich told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt on Saturday that African countries and its youths could not grow isolation.
“This generation of African youths and Africa cannot afford to act in isolation or dormancy in the midst of prevailing realities.
“Africa must work together to dismantle those imaginary boundaries that are built in our heads, which are now displayed in our countries corridor as great walls,” he said.
According to Jack-Rich, the only way Africa can be great is to ensure that from Nigeria to South Africa, there are no walls to climb or gates to open.
“As Africans, we need to tear down those imaginary walls we are building that are short-changing African growth.
“Africa is great and the tools to make it greater are right in the continent. So, let us tear down those walls build from the graveyard of imperialism and fascism,” he said.
The chief executive officer of the indigenous oil firm, said the leaders could build the continent to be great again by encouraging cohesive trade and transfer of technology.
He urged leaders and global entrepreneurs from the continent to empower youths and teach them how Africa was in love with itself, where one’s pain was the pain of all. (NAN)
