Nigerians have taken to their social media page to protest the injustice meted out on Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, by the Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria.
Recall that the association had announced that it had expelled the actress from the industry for featuring in a romantic musical video.
In reaction to the punishment, Nigerians questioned the authority and moral ground of the association to pass such judgement on the actress however, some are in support of the punishment stating that it will curb excesses in the industry.

Prince Akanni Eda wrote: “Why don’t u change it to shariawood? Hypocrites living white washed lives!”
Abdurrahmaan Ibraaheem said: “its a good move, but People are being so hypocritical, so many of Kannywood stars like Ali Nuhu and Sani danja have done the worst and they have not being punished, Ali Nuhu has appeared in many Nigerian Movies, Hugging, Kissing and Romancing ladies which are not his Muhram, and he is married, no any action is taken against him, Sani Danja has appeared in numerous Music videos with women, hugging and holding them, and also he is married, they would have expelled them all of them and punish them.”
Nuruddeen Abdulkareem said: “Hypocrisy at its peak level…am sure the person that took this decision is doing worse than what she have done…her only crime here was doing it in front of the camera, while they’re doing it behind the scene.”
