Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara, has appealed to Nigerians to cooperate with the government to tackle the challenges confronting facing the economy.
Ahmed made the call in his Independence Day message to the people of the state on Friday in Ilorin.
While congratulating Nigerians on the country’s 56th Independence Day celebration, Ahmed stressed the need to demonstrate more commitment, dedication and patriotism.
He said that even though the economic situation of the country would impose hardship on the people, he was, however, optimistic that with adequate cooperation, the country would bounce back to prosperity.
He advised Nigerians to have confidence in the present administration, saying that efforts were ongoing to overcome the economic recession.
Ahmed further reiterated his commitment to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
He pledged to execute infrastructural projects to meet the social and economic needs of the people. (NAN)
