Twitter has announced that it would be easing the rules regarding its 140-character limit so as to help users type more, engage more, rant more.
The new plan will no longer factors in certain add-ons, including pictures, into a message’s length.
Basically this means that before once you add an image into a tweet, it takes away a certain number of characters making it harder to type out fully what you want.
Taking this away is in a bid to inject adrenaline into a slightly declining fanbase with many people growing disillusioned with the social media website’s restrictive nature.
Twitter has been looking for ways to increase active users of the site after suffering a little bit of stagnancy in the past year.
