2014’s 30 Days in Atlanta starring Ramsey Nouah and AY Makun has made in into the Guinness book of world records 2017.
The massive feat was achieved by being one of the films with the highest domestic gross in the territories of Bollywood, Nollywood and Hollywood.
The movies in that category were; ‘PK’ from India, ’30 Days In Atlanta’ from Nigeria and ‘Star Wars’ From The United States of America.
This entry is in itself a record as it marks the first time Nollywood has made it into the book since it started its run in 1955.
The Movie follows a man who wins a trip to America and goes along with his cousin and they get into all sorts of mishaps. The movie was lauded for its excellent dialogue and the way the topic of culture clashes was handled.
AY Makun gave a great performance and paired with Nollywood greats such as Ramsey Nouah and Richard Mofe Damijo with a sprinkling of Hollywood with Vivica. A. Fox making an appearance, it made for great viewing.
AY will be at it again in a new movie ‘A Trip to Jamaica’ set to premiere on September 25th, and will be shown across cinemas in Nigeria from September 30th.
