Rio Ferdinand who is now a TV Pundit who analyses games has disclosed that he contacted Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger over the possibility of joining the club after he left Manchester United.
The move didn’t happen as Ferdinand ended up at QPR instead where he played one season and only appeared 11 times before finally drawing the curtains on his illustrious career.
In response to a poster claiming Ferdinand should have moved to Arsenal on Twitter, the former West Ham and Leeds defender posted: “I did reach out to Mr Wenger!!”
If Rio Ferdinand had moved to Arsenal he’d have been the second defender to make the move from Manchester United to Arsenal as Mikael Silvestre had also been purchased from their fierce rivals.
