Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo on Friday attributed the success of his administration to the contribution of the people of the state.
Oshiomhole spoke at the APC governorship rally in Igueben Local Government Area of the state.
“If my government is successful, it is because I got the support from you through your various counsel.
“Now that my administration is about to end, I want you to accord Mr Godwin Obaseki, candidate of the APC the same support by voting for him come Sept. 10, ‘’he said.
Oshiomhole said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had no developmental projects to show after eight years in government.
He said the opposition party had nothing to change with their new slogan of “change the change.”
“They have nothing to change; they want to come back with their old style of deceiving the people.
“They are shouting and busy saying that my projects are too expensive, yet, they could not even execute any that is less expensive.
“They said I built an expensive university and I ask if the university is Oshiomhole’s University,” he said.
Speaking at the rally, the APC candidate, Obaseki said Edo would be greater only if it gets her priority right.
Obaseki said that the past seven years had shown that Edo could be a great state with the right leadership in place.
He assured the people that he would continue from where his predecessor stops, if they give him their votes.
“We are one state that is endowed with both human and natural resources, we (Oshiomhole’s government) have demonstrated this in the past seven years.
“I have been part of this government, which has successfully laid a solid foundation for a new Edo.
“What we intend doing now, when elected, is to continue with the roads, schools, hospitals, water, among other projects.
“I want to assure you that we will take it to another level by creating jobs and empowering our men and women,’’ he said. (NAN)
