NiMet predicts cloudy, rainy weather for Tuesday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted cloudy conditions, with chances of isolated rains over Abuja, Ibi, Yola, Jalingo and Mambila Plateau on Tuesday morning.

The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO), in Abuja on Monday.

The agency predicted that localised thunderstorms were not unlikely over the central cities including Abuja, Kaduna, Jos and Lafia in the afternoon and evening with day time temperatures of 29 to 31 degrees Celsius.

NiMet predicted that the Northern states would experience cloudy conditions over most parts of the region in the morning.

It also predicted isolated thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Kano, Potiskum, Sokoto, Yelwa and Nguru axis during the afternoon with day time temperatures of 32 to 36 degrees Celsius.

According to the prediction, there will be partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in some parts of the country with possibilities of rains and isolated thunderstorms in the next 24 Hours.

NiMet predicted that the Southern States would experience increased cloudiness in the entire region in the morning.

It said there was possibility of localised rains over the coastal cities in Delta, Calabar and Port Harcourt including inland areas like Enugu, Owerri and Awka in the afternoon and evening.

Day time temperatures in the region are expected to range between 27 and 31 degrees Celsius.
