Former President of the country, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is about to feature in Hollywood. His book ‘My Watch’ Is going to be adapted to screen in Hollywood.
The movie is set to be directed by award-winning director Jeta Amata alongside other Hollywood partners.
The book chronicles Obasanjo’s life and presidency giving an insight to the reader about Obasanjo–the man. It was launched in 2014 and at the time caused quite a bit of controversy over the commentary on past leaders, as well as then serving president, Goodluck Jonathan.
The movie is set to feature a cross between Nollywood and Hollywood stars. The two industries have been working together for some time now to bring forth some really nice movies with movies like 30 days in Atlanta and Ije, just two in many stellar movies.
Jeta Amata, together with American actress Vanessa Martini and Nollywood actor Enyinna Nwigwe met with the former president yesterday where the deal was finalized.
The film will be shot in various locations, some within the country and others outside of its borders.
