A new poll taken by Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday showed that an interesting number of Republicans want controversial Republican nominee Donald Trump out of the running for the White House.
The Republican nominee already lost the support of fifty senior Republican national security officials, who went as to warn that he would be “the most reckless president in American history” if elected.
Almost 20% of registered Republicans want Trump to drop out of the race which is a pretty high number considering he is the man who is supposed to be supporting their beliefs and ideals and another 10 percent say they “don’t know.”
This means 70% still want Trump to run, but it might not be long before they lose faith too.
Among all registered voters, some 44 percent want Trump to drop out. That is based on a survey of 1,162 registered voters, with a confidence interval of 3 percentage points. That is 9 points higher than his support for the presidency in the latest Reuters/Ipsos tracking poll registered on Monday.
This just goes to show the deep cracks in opinion that Trump is causing and it didn’t help when he was accused of suggesting that Hillary Clinton be assassinated.
He’d said, “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks, Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”
The second Amendment enshrines Americans’ rights to bear arms. He has since denied meaning that but he has lost the trust of many people, Republicans included.
