A Nigerian President was the recipient of what’s probably the world’s most expensive cake said to cost about $31.1m or N9.9bn according to BBC journalist Aaron Heslehurst.
The Journalist took to his twitter to share this mind-boggling piece of information and it has caused an uproar on twitter with many wondering who the President is especially with the backdrop of these hard times.
The piece of confectionery was made by Mich Turner who is a very popular British cake-maker and founder of Little Venice Cake Company, UK.
She’s a celebrity baker who has made over 10,000 cakes including those for Her Majesty The Queen, Madonna, Pierce Brosnan, Ozzy Osbourne, Cheryl Cole, Gordon Ramsay, David Beckham, and Simon Cowell.
Turner was a guest on BBC’s business show where she was interviewed. Behind the scenes she gave the presenters a taste of the cake which the journalist then tweeted.
When asked which Nigerian President would spend such an eye-popping amount on a confectionery, Aaron replied that they had not been told who paid for it only that it was a Nigerian President.
