Chief Tomi Akingbogun, the President, Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN) says preparations are at advanced stage to hold the Abuja Tourism Stakeholders Forum.
Akingbogun told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja that the event would hold between November 29 and November 30.
According to him, the forum is expected to bring together tourism stakeholders from both public and private sectors to chat a way forward for the development of the sector in the country.
“We are still working on how to host a tourism forum that will address the fundamental issues in the sector.
“We want to see how all stakeholders, relevant organisations and experts would come together to proffer positive solutions to the challenges bedeviling the growth of the sector in the country.
“We also look forward to a profitable tourism forum on the fix dates in November this year,’’ Akingbogun said.
NAN reports that the forum is an annual event organised by FTAN in collaboration with the government and other tourism related organisations.
