The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions with localised thunderstorms/rains over the central states of the country on Monday morning.
This is contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Sunday.
NiMet said that localised thunderstorms/rain showers would prevail over Abuja, Jos, Minna and Lafia during the afternoon and evening hours with day time temperatures of 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience morning rains, afternoon and evening rains over Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa, Obudu, Ogoja, Enugu, Awka and Uyo.
NiMet also predicted that the region would have maximum day time temperatures of 27 to 29 degrees Celsius.
According to NiMet, the Northern States will experience cloudy conditions with chances of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto, Gusau and Katsina during the morning hours.
It said that there would be prospects of localised thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Nguru and Potiskum during the afternoon and evening hours with day time temperatures of 30 to 32 degrees Celsius.
NiMet said the entire part of the country would witness favourable morning thunderstorms activities in the next 24 hours. (NAN)
