Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has recounted his ordeal while in detention with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fani-Kayode had been in detention since his arrest on May 9, 2016, in Abuja.
Speaking about his time in custody, he said: “I give thanks to God that I am free after 67 days in detention. I thank my wife lawyers children and friends for all their support.”
He was granted a N250 million bail on July 4, but was still kept in detention depending on when he meets the requirements for his bail.
Fani-Kayode is facing a a 17-count charge bordering on misappropriation of Government’s funds.
