His name was Emmanuel Chidi Nnamdi and he was a victim of racial violence.
The Nigerian who had emigrated to Italy in the wake of the Boko Haram insurgency was killed by Amedeo Mancini, a violent racist.
Nnamdi had challenged Mancini after the latter had racially abused Nnamdi and his girlfriend and he was struck on the head with a metal object until he died.
The 36 year old was buried yesterday in a Solemn ceremony with large black contingent present.
