Car gifts from prominent men to other prominent men in Nigeria is not a rarity but when these men are public servants it’s only natural that eyebrows will be raised.
Ebony State Governor David Nweze Umahi yesterday presented 2016 Prado SUVs to Honourable members of the Ebonyi House of Assembly.
The shiny new cars were presented to the members of the Ebonyi house amidst issues regarding payment of pensions and salaries for civil servants.
It’s reminiscent of the scandal that rocked the senate some time ago when Senate President Bukola Saraki provided members of the senate with jeeps much to the consternation of Nigerians.
