NASFAT President urges support for FG to develop Nigeria

2 Min Read

The President, Nasru-Lahl-L-Faith Society (NASFAT), Mr Kamil Bolarinwa, on Saturday urged Muslims in the country to support the Federal Government’s determination to improve the quality of life of Nigerians.

Bolarinwa made the call at NASFAT Camp on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway during the night of Majesty (Lailtul Qadr 1437AH) as part of activities marking the 2016 last Jumma’a of the holy month of Ramadan.

He advised Muslims not to panic because of the current situation in Nigeria, stressing that with their faith in God and the leadership of the country, things would get better.

“Nigeria is going through a rough path at the moment.

“At times like this, what is expected is not panic and hysteria but a calm appreciation of where we are coming from and where we are going.

“Given the commitment of the present leadership of this country, I strongly believe we are not heading for the rocks. We need patience and sacrifice today for a better tomorrow.

“I urge us to ponder on two keynote issues I have raised tonight: the threat to our religion and the peace of our country.

“Individually and collectively, beseech Allah to protect us and our religion from enemies within and without,’’ he said.

Bolarinwa advised NASFAT members to always watch their utterances and conducts and urged them to live in peace with all persons, including bringing up their children as examples of true Muslims.

He spoke against high-level corruption the country which, he said, had destroyed it and condemned those who killed people and damaged property under the guise of religion.

He noted that such people were not true Muslims.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that other activities during the night included recitations of the Quran and offering of special prayers for the country. (NAN)
