Legendary Beatles singer John Lennon has been dead for decades, but his legacy lives on and he still has a great many fans.
This was evident when a shirt that had bloodstains from the singer on the night of his murder sold for an astonishing £31,000.
Jay Hastings who was a concierge at the Dakota building in New York was in uniform and was present when the Beatle star was gunned down by mad fan Mark Chapman.
Hastings had tried to help Lennon and had gotten some of his blood on him in the process.
The blood is still visible today on the chest and sleeves.
