Tottenham Hotspur have announced their first major signing of the summer in the person of Victor Wanyama FROM Southampton.
The defensive midfielder is the second person to exit the club after manager Ronald Koeman left to take over at Everton.
The Tottenham website announcing the signing said,
“We are delighted to announce that we have completed the transfer of Victor Wanyama from Southampton.
“The midfielder has agreed a contract with the club until 2021”
There could be further departures from Southampton with Sadio Mane also possibly leaving.
Wanyama came to Southampton from Celtic and made 94 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 4 goals.
Southampton wished him good luck saying, “Southampton Football Club would like to thank Victor for his time at the club and wish him well for the future,”
